Peter Rogers

Peter Rogers, Partner of Finn and Partners, Chartered Accountants has replaced Glenda Saunders as Chairman of the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Branch of the Institute of Directors.

Peter holds a number of Directorships and Chairmanship positions in a wide range of Industries. He is Chairman of St Pauls Collegiate School in Hamilton and is active in the Forestry, Kiwi Fruit and Roading Industries.

Mrs. Saunders two-year term as Branch Chairman had come to an end and Peter Rogers moved up the ranks from Deputy Chairman to become the Branch Chairman.

The Branch acknowledged and thanked Mrs. Saunders for her work on the committee at the recent AGM and Annual Dinner. The highlight of the evening was a very humorous and thought provoking talk from Guest Speaker, Bruce Sheppard, Chairman of the New Zealand Shareholders Association.

The focus of the branch for 2004 is to continue to run the successful Director’s courses piloted in Hamilton during 2003. Members and Guest will also be treated to some interesting and varied speakers during the year including Brendan O’ Donovan, Chief Economist, Westpac Bank and Cathy Quinn, member of the Securities Commission.
