Rose & Cultural Festival 2003Rose Sunday


The culmination of this year's festival was Rose Sunday, celebrating "the time of the roses". An afternoon tea was held in a marquee next to Burchell Pavilion, with entertainment, art and music.

Te Awamutu Garden Awards

Meredith Hodgson, in her first official role as Miss Rosetown, presented the annual Garden Awards with Mayor Alan Livingston. A chuckle was brought to proceedings when Meredith presented the award for best large garden to her father Fraser.

Gracelands Community Fun Walk

Participants enjoyed great weather and friendly company in the fun walk around town. 5km and 10km options were provided, with spot prizes donated by local businesses.

The popular vocal group "Rosetown Choristers" entertained with a selection of songs from around the world in Old St Johns Church.

Embroidery Exhibition

Members of the Te Awamutu Embroidery Group showed their skills and answered questions about embroidery technique. The exhibition ran from the 7th - 9th November.
