Rural Women "Walking NZ"

Waipa King Country Rural Women today hosted a walk through part of the heritage trail, followed by lunch with guest speaker Jim Milchreest.

Mr Milchreest spoke about the spectacular progress of the Maungatautari Project and outlined an exciting future as the project begins physical construction in the weeks ahead. On behalf of Rural Women, Provincial President Trudy Wilson presented Mr Milchreest with a $1000 cheque to help with funding.

After lunch, the group marched to Sculpture Park for the unveiling of the new sound sculpture and to plant some new trees.
