Record rose show entries

There was a record 657 entries in the annual Te Awamutu Rose Show at St Pat’s Hall on Friday and Saturday.

The weather and the timing of the event obviously contributed to some splendid rose blooms and Te Awamutu Rose Society’s efforts in encouraging novices may also have helped bring forward the record entry - almost two and a half times last year’s 267 entries.
